Reviews
One of the nice parts of having staff writers, is the variations of reviewing style, both length wise and in candor, that we each exhibit. It's also fun to read multiple reviews of the same work, as from our different perspectives. An ancillary benefit is that each of us brings our own reading interests/favourite authors to the mix. Sure we try to share submitted books, but our thirst for reading drives us to our own devices - reading wise that is. ;)
Alphabetical Author List
Personally, "I'se calls 'em, like I'se sees 'em." So if I love a book, you'll know it and if I don't, you'll know that too. I try always to be polite and to never "slam" an author, but well, I am not always that successful with their works. Let's remember, this is just one man's opinion. After all, I didn't finish Tolkien's, The Hobbit, because I found it's delivery to be too juvenile; I didn't finish Heinlein's, Stranger In A Strange Land, as I found the dialogue embarrassingly hip and dated; and I didn't finish Miller's, A Canticle For Leibowitz, because, well, it was boring. Three certified classics, and I couldn't finish any of them...tells you what I know!
Lastly, as we are only human and have many disparate interests, you will find the occasional "other" genre review onsite here. Please excuse the sacrilege. ;)
